Telegram Link Generator — Free t.me Link Maker
Create every kind of Telegram link from a username: profile, channel, and group links, bot deep links with ?start= payloads, share links with pre-filled text, phone links, channel post links, and mini app links. Free, no signup, and 100% client-side.
Honest by design: Telegram links are documented public URL formats — this page just builds the strings in your browser. No bot token, no API key, no login, and nothing you type is ever sent anywhere.
Every Telegram link format
Telegram links are just documented URL patterns. This tool builds all of them — click any generator tab above to produce a copy-ready link.
| Link type | Format | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Profile / channel / group / bot | t.me/username | The chat, channel, or bot page in Telegram |
| Bot deep link | t.me/botname?start=payload | Bot chat; payload arrives as /start payload |
| Add bot to group | t.me/botname?startgroup=payload | Group/channel picker to add the bot |
| Attach web app | t.me/botname?startattach=payload | Chat picker for the attach-menu web app |
| Mini app | t.me/botname/appname?startapp=payload | The Telegram Mini App, launched directly |
| Share with text | t.me/share/url?url=URL&text=TEXT | Forward dialog with your link pre-filled |
| Phone | t.me/+15550101234 | Chat with the account on that number |
| Channel post | t.me/channelname/123 | A specific post inside a public channel |
| App-deep link | tg://resolve?domain=username | Opens the app directly, skipping the browser |
| Legacy alias | telegram.me/username, username.t.me | Still work; both redirect to t.me |
How it works
- Pick a link type. Six tabs cover the formats Telegram documents: plain username links, bot deep links, share links with pre-filled text, phone links, channel post links, and mini app links.
- Type a username or number. The tool accepts
@username, a pastedt.me/…link, or a bare username, and validates it against Telegram's rules (5–32 characters; letters, numbers, underscores) before building anything. - Copy, embed, or open. Every result ships with a copy button, an open-in-Telegram button, and — where it makes sense — a ready-to-paste HTML button snippet and a
tg://app-direct variant.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between t.me and telegram.me?
t.me is Telegram’s current canonical short domain. telegram.me was the original domain and still redirects to t.me, so old links keep working. The subdomain form (yourname.t.me) also works. This generator uses t.me because it is the shortest, most shareable format.
What can I put in a ?start= deep-link payload?
The payload must be 1–64 characters long and may only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens (the base64url alphabet) — anything else breaks the link. Telegram delivers it to your bot as “/start <payload>”, so use short opaque keys like ref_42 or promo_oct and resolve them on your own server. Never put secrets or raw JSON in the payload.
What are the rules for a Telegram username?
A Telegram username is 5–32 characters and may only contain letters (case-insensitive), numbers, and underscores — no spaces or other symbols. Usernames are unique across users, bots, channels, and groups, and bot usernames must additionally end in “bot”. This tool validates the format; it cannot check whether a username is actually taken — only Telegram can.
What is a Telegram mini app (startapp) link?
A mini app link opens a Telegram Mini App directly: t.me/<bot_username>/<app_short_name>?startapp=<payload>. You need the bot that owns the app, the app’s short name from BotFather, and a start parameter of 1–64 characters. The payload reaches your mini app through the start_param field of its WebApp init data.
What is the difference between ?start=, ?startgroup=, and ?startattach=?
All three are bot deep links. ?start= opens a one-to-one chat with your bot and passes the payload to it. ?startgroup= opens a picker to add the bot to a group or channel. ?startattach= opens a picker for chats where the user can attach your web app to a message. The payload is required for ?start= and optional for the other two.
Should I use t.me or tg:// links?
Use t.me links for anything public: they work in every browser, open the Telegram app when installed, and fall back to Telegram Web on desktop when it is not. tg:// links (e.g. tg://resolve?domain=username) skip the browser and open the app directly, but they fail silently if Telegram is not installed. For buttons, bios, and QR codes, t.me is the safer default.
Can I link to a private group or check whether a username exists?
No — and any generator claiming otherwise is misleading you. t.me/username links only resolve for public users, bots, channels, and groups. Private groups and channels use invite links in the form t.me/+randomhash that can only be created inside Telegram itself. This tool validates the format of what you type; it cannot verify that a username actually exists.
Do I need a bot token or a Telegram API key?
No. Every link on this page is a documented public URL format — there is no API call, token, login, or server involved. The page builds the strings locally in your browser and never sends your input anywhere, so you can keep using it after the page loads even without a connection to our site.
