Calculate the dividend amount received from share ownership: annual total dividends, share count from a dividend target, dividend growth projections, and DRIP simulation.
Educational estimates — not professional financial advice. Actual dividend amounts are decided by the company through the shareholders’ meeting and may change each period.
The projection uses the constant-growth assumption you enter — this is a mathematical model, not a promise of results. Actual dividends depend on company decisions.
Explicit assumptions: constant share price during the simulation, constant DPS per payment, dividends can buy fractional shares, no transaction fees and no taxes.
Dividends are the portion of company profit paid to shareholders. DPS (dividends per share) is the dividend amount for each share in one payment period.
Dividend amounts received by investors are computed as: dividends per payment = share count × DPS, then multiplied by the payment frequency for the yearly total (annual ×1, semiannual ×2, quarterly ×4, monthly ×12).
Dividend amount vs dividend yield. The dividend amount answers how many rupiah are received. Dividend yield = annual DPS ÷ share price — only a percentage-ratio definition; this page does not compute yield interactively. For yield and stock return calculations, use the capital gains yield calculator.

Dividends are the portion of company profit paid to shareholders, usually as cash per share. DPS (dividends per share) is the dividend amount for each share in one payment period. Example: an issuer announces DPS of Rp250 per quarter — a holder of 500 shares receives Rp125,000 each quarterly payment, or Rp500,000 in a year.
Multiply the share count by the DPS per payment: dividends per payment = share count × DPS. For the yearly total, multiply by the payment frequency (annual ×1, semiannual ×2, quarterly ×4, monthly ×12). Example: 500 shares × Rp250 quarterly DPS = Rp125,000 per payment; Rp125,000 × 4 = Rp500,000 per year.
The dividend amount is the nominal rupiah received by the investor, e.g. Rp500,000 per year. Dividend yield is a percentage ratio: annual DPS divided by share price. The dividend amount answers how many rupiah are received, while yield answers what percent return relative to the purchase price. Interactive yield calculation is available in the capital gains yield calculator.

Divide the annual dividend target by the annual DPS: share count = annual dividend target divided by (DPS per payment × frequency). Example: a target of Rp1,000,000 per year with DPS of Rp250 per quarter (annual DPS Rp1,000) requires 1,000 shares.
Enter the current annual DPS and an assumed annual growth rate; the calculator computes each year’s dividend with the formula year-t DPS = initial DPS × (1 + g)^t. Example: 1,000 shares with annual DPS of Rp1,000 and 10 percent annual growth — year-5 dividends become Rp1,610,510 and the 5-year cumulative total is Rp6,715,610. This is a mathematical projection from the assumptions you enter, not a promise of results.
DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan) is the strategy of reinvesting dividends to buy additional shares, including fractional shares. The simulation in this calculator assumes a constant share price: each period, dividends = share count × DPS, then new shares = dividends divided by share price. Example: 100 shares at Rp10,000 per share and DPS of Rp250 per quarter — after 4 quarters the share count becomes 110.38 shares and the total reinvested dividends are Rp103,812.89. The constant-price assumption is a simplification for educational purposes.
This calculator computes the dividend AMOUNT received from owned shares. The Dividend Discount Model (DDM) works in reverse: it uses dividend projections to estimate a stock’s FAIR PRICE with the Gordon model P = D1 divided by (r − g). For dividend-based stock valuation, use the dividend discount model calculator.

This calculator computes dividend amounts from the investor’s side. The dividend payout ratio measures from the company’s side: the percentage of net income paid as dividends (total dividends divided by net income). Both use the same dividend figures but answer different questions.
