How it works

The result is always start date + N: the start date itself is not counted. So October 8, 2026 plus 100 days is January 16, 2027, and the reverse check confirms exactly 100 days between the two dates. Adding weeks multiplies by 7, so the weekday never changes. Adding months keeps the day of the month, clamped to the last day when the target month is shorter (January 31 plus 1 month = February 28, or February 29 in a leap year). All math is pure calendar arithmetic with no timezones, so daylight saving time can never shift a result.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate 100 days from a date?

Enter the start date, choose Add, type 100, select Days, and the result appears instantly. Example: 100 days from October 8, 2026 is Saturday, January 16, 2027. The start date itself is not counted, so the result lands exactly 100 calendar days later.

What date is 30 days from today?

It depends on the current date, because the calculator always counts forward from the day you run it. As an example, 30 days from October 8, 2026 is Saturday, November 7, 2026. Use the calculator above with the start date set to today for the live answer.

How do I subtract days from a date?

Switch the direction toggle to Subtract, or type a negative number. Example: 30 days before October 8, 2026 is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

How do I add weeks to a date?

Select Weeks as the unit. The calculator multiplies by 7, so the weekday of the result always matches the start date. Example: 2 weeks from October 8, 2026 is Thursday, October 22, 2026, and 7 weeks is Thursday, November 26, 2026.

How do I add months to a date?

Select Months. Whole calendar months are added, and if the target month is shorter the result is clamped to its last day. Example: 1 month after January 31, 2026 is Saturday, February 28, 2026. In a leap year, 1 month after January 31, 2024 is Thursday, February 29, 2024.

How do I find how many days are between two dates?

Use the Days Between tab: enter both dates and the calculator returns the exact difference. Example: October 8, 2026 to January 16, 2027 is 100 days, and October 8, 2026 to November 7, 2026 is 30 days. For business-day counts and other date math, see the full date difference calculator.

Which day of the week will the result fall on?

Every result shows the full weekday name. Example: 100 days from Thursday, October 8, 2026 is Saturday, January 16, 2027. Results in whole weeks always land on the same weekday as the start date.

Is the start date itself counted?

No. The count is exclusive: October 8, 2026 plus 100 days equals January 16, 2027, and the reverse check confirms exactly 100 days between the two dates. This matches how spreadsheet formulas and most date libraries treat date addition.

Do leap years change the result?

Yes, around February. February 28, 2024 plus 2 days is Friday, March 1, 2024, because 2024 has a February 29. February 28, 2026 plus 1 day is Sunday, March 1, 2026, because 2026 is not a leap year. The calculator handles leap years automatically.

What is 365 days from today?

365 days is 52 weeks plus 1 day, so in a non-leap year the result lands on the same calendar date with the weekday shifted by one. Example: 365 days from October 8, 2026 is Friday, October 8, 2027.

Does this count business days or skip weekends?

No. This tool counts every calendar day, weekends included. If you need business-day arithmetic that skips weekends, use a business-day calculator instead.

How are year boundaries handled?

Dates roll into the next year automatically. Example: 30 days from December 20, 2026 is Tuesday, January 19, 2027, and 1 day after December 31, 2026 is Friday, January 1, 2027.

How is this different from a number-of-days-between-two-dates calculator?

This tool answers what date is N days FROM a start date, which is addition. A date-difference calculator answers how many days are BETWEEN two dates, which is subtraction. The Days Between tab here gives a quick reverse check; for full difference features, use the dedicated number-of-days-between-two-dates tool.

Why does another calculator give me a different date?

The most common cause is inclusive counting, where the start date is counted as day 1, which shifts the answer by one day. Timezone mistakes are another cause. This calculator uses exclusive counting and pure calendar math with no timezones, so October 8, 2026 plus 100 days is always Saturday, January 16, 2027.
