The four formulas, explained

Wilks (classic)

Wilks = Total × 500 / (a + b·BW + c·BW² + d·BW³ + e·BW⁴ + f·BW⁵)

By Robert Wilks. The historical standard; still quoted for comparing against decades of past results.

Wilks 2.0 (2020)

Wilks 2.0 = Total × 600 / (a + b·BW + c·BW² + d·BW³ + e·BW⁴ + f·BW⁵)

March 2020 revision with rebalanced coefficients (note the constant is 600, not 500 — scores read ~20% higher).

DOTS

DOTS = Total × 500 / (a + b·BW + c·BW² + d·BW³ + e·BW⁴)

By Tim Konertz (BVDK). Fourth-order polynomial; bodyweight clamped to its validated range.

IPF GL points

IPF GL = Total × (100 / (A − B × e^(−C × BW)))

Official IPF formula since 2020. Exponential curve with separate raw/equipped coefficients.

Honest scope: Wilks, Wilks 2.0 and DOTS are raw-lifting formulas. Only IPF GL publishes official equipped coefficients. Train safe: use a spotter, never max out alone, and progress gradually.
