1 · Your all-up weight
Manufacturers certify wings by total take-off weight — you + wing + reserve + harness + everything you carry. A common beginner mistake is sizing by body weight alone.

Matching sizes (certified range)
Enter your weights and tap the button — your all-up weight will be matched against 10 certified wings from Ozone, Gin, Advance, Nova, Skywalk, BGD, Niviuk and Dudek.
Wing loading
Wing loading = all-up weight ÷ flat wing area (kg/m²). It shapes how a wing behaves: lower loading = slower, more forgiving, floatier; higher loading = faster, more agile, more demanding. Below is your loading on each matching size.
Gauge is illustrative. Safe loading depends on wing design and pilot skill — discuss with your instructor.
Paramotor all-up weight
For powered flight, add the motor + fuel. Wings have separate, wider DGAC/PPG weight ranges for powered flight — free-flight EN ranges do not apply with a motor on your back.

Matching powered-flight (DGAC/PPG) ranges
Paramotor pilots typically fly at the higher end of the powered range for speed and efficiency — but only within certification.
Speed / mini-wing sizer
Speed wings and mini wings are sized by target wing loading, not certified weight ranges. Pick your all-up weight and a loading — the tool returns the flat area you need.
Result
Mini/speed wings trade forgiveness for speed. Loading above ~5 kg/m² demands active, experienced piloting.
Reserve parachute sizer
Your reserve is rated by all-up weight, just like your wing. An overloaded reserve sinks faster and can oscillate — many pilots fly a reserve that is too small without knowing it.

Reserve data: Gin Yeti Cross 2, Supair Light and UP Profile Light — certified min/max loads from the manufacturers.
Tandem weight-limit checker
Tandem wings carry two people plus gear. Check the combined weight against the certified range of a reference tandem wing (Ozone MagMax 2).
Result
Reference: Ozone MagMax 2 — size 38: 110–185 kg, size 41: 130–220 kg (EN certified).
How it works & data sources
The engine matches your all-up (total take-off) weight against the certified weight ranges published by the manufacturers — the same ranges used for EN certification. Where two sizes overlap, you get a border-case advisor: the conventional guidance (e.g. from Cross Country magazine's wing-sizing guides) is smaller wing for strong-wind / coastal sites (more speed, better penetration, more agile) versus bigger wing for weak thermals (lower sink rate, easier launch, floatier). Wing loading is all-up weight ÷ flat area.
Manufacturer data in this tool
Weight ranges are transcribed from the manufacturers' official spec pages and manuals (accessed Oct 2026). Manufacturers revise models — always re-check the current manual for the wing you buy. This page is an independent educational tool, not affiliated with any brand.
