FDM Print Cost
Weight and time come from your slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, Bambu Studio) — that is the most accurate source. Covers filament cost per gram, PLA filament cost per print, 3d print electricity cost and full job quoting in one place.

Resin (SLA/MSLA) Print Cost
Resin volume and print time come from your slicer (Lychee, Chitubox). Consumables are modeled per print.

Waste Lab — the cost nobody quotes
Multicolor purge and supports are the #1 reason 3D print quotes lose money. Model them here, then copy the numbers into the FDM tab.

Volume → grams (for purge tower & custom parts)
Batch Planner — quote multi-part orders
Queue up parts for one order (e.g. an Etsy batch): totals, machine hours and material in one place.
Quoting — cost → selling price
Turn your expected cost into a price that survives platform fees and taxes.
How the math works
- Material (FDM): (model g + supports + brim + prime tower + swaps × purge per swap) × spool price ÷ spool grams.
- Material (resin): (model ml + support ml) × (1 + wash loss %) × bottle price ÷ bottle ml, plus per-print consumables: FEP film price ÷ prints per film, IPA, gloves.
- Electricity: print hours × watts ÷ 1000 × your kWh rate.
- Machine wear: print hours × printer price ÷ lifetime hours.
- Labor: hands-on minutes ÷ 60 × your hourly rate.
- Failure uplift: expected cost = total ÷ (1 − failure rate). A 10% failure rate raises expected cost ≈ 11%.
- Quoting: margin mode: price = cost ÷ (1 − margin); markup mode: price = cost × (1 + markup); listed price = (target + fixed fee) ÷ (1 − fee %).
Estimates for planning only — not financial advice. Filament and resin prices vary by brand and region; printer power draw varies by model and enclosure heating. Use your slicer's gram/hour figures as the source of truth.
